ReaLtor information
We know that by the time a client gets to our office, you have worked very hard to gain their confidence in using your services for their transaction. We continue that same approach so that at the completion of the process, the client has experienced a good real estate transaction from beginning to end. Our goal is for the client to look back to that same line-up of professionals when they decide to purchase or sell another home.
Below are a few highlights about our office.
Who We Are
We have a trained staff to handle each section of the closing process; pre-closing, closing, and post-closing, with each a dedicated team member handling specifically that portion of the process to allow for direct focus. This format walks the client through the closing process and provides many "extras" along the way, as it is designed to allow team members to spend time with the client and not be rushed to the next closing. We train to create an experience for the client as if their closing is our only closing. Our team members and focus are outlined below.
- Stephanie McCormick serves as our Client Coordinator. She works closely with the client, seller, agents, and lenders to gather the information needed to complete the closing process. Stephanie has over 15 years experience in residential real estate.
- Ivy Stricklin serves as our Pre-Closing Administrator. She works closely with the lender to provide them with timely pre-closing title work requests and assists in resolving title issues. Our goal is to release the title documentation to the lender 10-15 days prior to the closing date. Her concentration on preparing the title binder and other required documentation allows our office to meet this goal. She understands the importance of having the documents to the lender well in-advance of closing, and she is very driven and detailed oriented.
- Susan Oates is our Closing Administrator. Susan has been handling real estate closings for approximately 27 years in both North and South Carolina. She works with the lenders and real estate agents in completing the settlement statements.
- Angie Newton serves as Closing Support. She assists in preparing closing disclosures and settlement statements. Angie has over 20 years of experience in residential real estate and understands the closing process from top to bottom.
- Christe Allison is our Post-Closing Administrator. She prepares the client's final loan package for the lender. She also communicates with the client after the closing with questions that may arise and provides copies of paperwork from the file as needed. Christe has over 23 years experience in real estate.
- Heidi Neely and Korrinda Bowne serve as our Post-Closing Support. They assist with post-closing matters, which include finalizing closing packages for lenders, on-line recordings, obtaining funding numbers, releasing final title policies, and answering post-closing questions.
- Karen Dugan is our Office Administrator and supports all areas of the closing process. She is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal with an undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts and a Post Baccalaureate Paralegal Degree from Piedmont Community College. Karen has over 15 years experience in residential real estate closings.
About Our Process
- I have over 28 years experience in closing real estate transactions. I go through the documents in extreme detail with each client. Something unique to my office, I meet separately with the buyer on sale transactions to ensure the confidentiality of the terms of the loan and to create an environment that allows for questions and a true understanding of what is being signed. It is also a comforting feeling for the buyer to know that all is complete on their end when the seller enters the closing room.
- I have developed an 18 item tracking program which allows for me to overview every closing daily and which automatically prompts my team to order payoffs, send FHA/Hud settlement statements, order payoffs, etc... by closing date.
- I also review each file's title work at the very beginning of the process before setting up items for my staff to track. This allows us to work diligently at the beginning of the closing process on any outstanding mortgages, judgments or other title issues. This is tracked by me daily to ensure its completion.
- Our website and closing planner are constantly being updated with additional material and closing tips. www.threynolds.com Under the buyer information tab, you will find useful tips for your clients regarding title insurance, restrictive covenants, property taxes and joint tenancy with rights of survivorship.
We look forward to the opportunity and privilege to work with you and your clients. Below find a calculator to estimate our fees on each transaction to include title insurance premiums as well as other helpful information.
